So, you’ve made it this far.

Grateful Mess Homestead isn’t a picture-perfect homestead where everything is always organized, the garden is always weeded, and nobody ever forgets why they walked in to the barn.
We’re real people, doing our best, learning as we go, and occasionally wondering how we ended up with this many animals.
If you enjoy animals, homemade food, gardening experiments, learning where your food comes from, and watching someone else figure things out the hard way-you’ll probably fit right in here.
Follow along as we raise animals, grow what we can, make food from scratch, tackle projects, share the things that work (and the things that absolutely do not), and continue building a more self-sufficient life.
Theres always something happening around here.
