Guineas: The Tick Patrol (hopefully)

Our guineas are loud, incredibly flighty, and can launch themselves six feet straight into the air without so much as a warning (ask me how I know). Catching them? Not happening.

They’re still young, so the jury is out, but the dream is that they’ll eventually free-range around the property, gobbling up ticks and earning their keep. They’re definitely one of the coolest-looking birds we have, and so far, they haven’t caused to much trouble- which, around here, is saying something.

Whether they become the hardworking tick patrol we’re hoping for or simply remain noisy little weirdos is still to be determined. Follow along and we’ll find out together.
